Macclesfield Pride was invited to the Cheshire LGBTQIA+ Awards on Wednesday. Radius and Body Positive were very hospitable. We could not do any of our events without volunteers.
The committee was unanimous in nominating Charlie for our Volunteer of the year award.
Especially Charlie Higgins who has helped to load and unload our equipment and merchandise at most events. Entertained children at our games zones. Supervised our tombola and Treacle Market stalls. Set up and took down the MaccPride hub in the Grosvenor Centre and
volunteered every morning for the 2 weeks it was open.
Charlie was also a runner for the main event stage and parade. And he helped me dismantle two circus gazebos in the pouring down rain, getting absolutely soaked through.
