Due to popular demand MaccPride Karaoke Challenge is returning for the 5th year.

Sat 24th Feb- Mulberry Bush

Sat 2nd Mar – Old Millstone
Fri 8th Mar – Bar 27, Macclesfield FC
Sat 9th Mar – Bate Hall
Karaoke will start 8-8:30pm (dependent on the individual venue) with the competition starting from 9pm.
Each singer on the heat night will donate at least £3, and choose 2 songs to sing, the person with the most points will go through to the Grand Finals.
MaccPride will arrange judges for the night, and at least one winner will be chosen to represent your venue at the Grand Finals Night on Saturday 16th March 2024 at the Pack Horse Bowling Club, Macclesfield.
The judges scores each night are anonymised and their decision is final. Separate independent judges will be used at Grand Finals Night and their decision is also final.
Singers can enter as many venues as they wish as a solo or duet (can only appear once in the Grand Final), and they must use the karaoke set up (ie not their own backing tracks).
The overall winner from the Grand Finals will be offered the chance to perform 2 songs at MaccPride’s main stage event on Sat.6th July 2024 in the town centre on the Superbowl UK stage. They will also win a trophy and cash prize.
Whilst we ask that professional singers do not enter (ie whose only job is to sing), people may enter if they see themselves as semi professional (ie have a main job and sing in their spare time for payment or not). The challenge is aimed at karaoke singers to offer them the chance to perform in front of a large audience.
All funds raised throughout the event will be donated to Macclesfield Pride Charity 1182231 and be used to support the MaccPride event.
We are delighted to announce that the event this year is once again being kindly sponsored by Legacy Funeral Care who offer a bespoke service for everyone. They remain close allies of the LGBTQIA+ community, and are aware of the discrimination sometimes experienced when losing loved ones within our community.
Thank you for supporting our event to celebrate diversity and promote equality by helping us to increase visibility and reduce negativity. This is a fun night with customers old and new, whilst raising funds for and with the LGBTQIA+ community.
