🏳️‍🌈 BECOME A TRUSTEE OF MACCLESFIELD PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈

Help shape the future of Pride in Macclesfield

Macclesfield Pride is looking for new Trustees to join our charity and help us continue promoting equality, celebrating diversity, increasing LGBTQ+ visibility and creating a more inclusive community in Macclesfield and the surrounding area.

This is a voluntary role and a great opportunity to use your skills, experience and ideas to help shape the future of a grassroots community charity.

 What does a Trustee do?

Our Trustees provide the charity’s governance and strategic oversight. Working together, you’ll help to:

• Make sure Macclesfield Pride stays true to its charitable aims
• Help shape our future plans and priorities
• Oversee finances, risks, policies and legal responsibilities
• Support the Committee and volunteers
• Help build strong relationships within the local community
• Bring your own experience, ideas and perspective to the charity

You don’t need to have been a Trustee before. We’re interested in what you can bring, whether that’s experience in finance, law, fundraising, safeguarding, events, communications, community work, governance, business or simply valuable lived and community experience.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who are:

• Passionate about equality and inclusion
• Collaborative, respectful and willing to listen
• Able to contribute ideas and make decisions as part of a team
• Based in Macclesfield, the surrounding area, or with a strong local connection
• Able to commit the time needed to participate as a Trustee

Trustees normally meet around four times a year, with some communication and work between meetings. Trustees serve a three-year term.

You don’t need to be an existing Macclesfield Pride member to apply, although successful applicants are expected to become members.

If you’d like to help shape the future of Macclesfield Pride and make a difference in our local LGBTQ+ community, we’d love to hear from you.
